Fast Sliding Heels

Hey divine readers,

Today is informative Sunday and I am introducing the many female drivers in the motorsport niche of our automotive industry. These women are inspirational, because they have chosen to go against the grain of society's ideals and do what they are passionate about. Which in the end has gained loads of respect. Besides, the guys might not always admit to it but they sure admire and are impressed by women in the industry. Isn't that right boys?

Our first runner up, or shall I say the driver up, is Verena Mei. Just as promised. I decided to put her as first since she has been known for her drifting in formula drift at the beginning of her career. On top of it, she  is a well known face. Everyone here has seen Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, right? Well, she is one of the beautiful girls we saw in the car that Han and Sean were doing donuts around.

Verena majored in mechanical engineering and started her journey to this fast paced, adrenaline packed world through her modeling career. As a model, for those who know and don't alike, they often get opportunities to look beautiful at motor events, and get paid for it as well. That is why I wanted to be a model, inspirational, pretty and around cars all the time. My kind of heaven.

Verena’s interest in motorsports grew, while going to events. Soon she went to stunt school and then drag racing school, where she did a quarter mile in 9.46 seconds. Her first real step in her motorsports career was drift racing. She drift raced in formula drift series for five years, then moved to Redline time attack and is currently more of a rally racer.  I remember, don't you worry those who don't know what Redline is. Redline, is a race series founded in 2006, they judge the fastest single lap on course. We will talk more about her in later posts.

Next we have Hungarian Nikolett Szántó

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Born April 12th 1980, Nikolett is a professional drift driver, who at the age of 26 started her drifting career. With Danica Patrick and Michelle Mounton as her inspirations, last November 2016 has marked her 10 years as a drifter. I personally look up to her at this moment, for everything I admire about women in the racing world, specifically drift. So young and she is still doing it at her age, 36, while looking stunning.

As a young gal, she fell in love with the smell of burning tires and the sound of motors, and has always been interested in motorsports and cars. She practiced daily with her E36 BMW and her first race earned her an Hungarian Championship in 2007.

It seems she really made her mark in the motorsports world, since her name was the first to show up in my research. Although most of the information was in Hungarian, there was enough interviews and information on her to find that she has set the stage. A beautiful Hungarian, racing for the joy of passion and the artistic value of the craft. She loves the challenges that require creative solutions.

I apologize, I did not succeed in presenting to you all, all three girls. I am in process of making the information gathered for Kelsey Rowlings a beautiful and inspiring read. Next Sunday we are looking at 3 to 4 drivers, Kelsey included.

Blessed be & freedom to your soul
